Fellow woodworkers: Welcome to our web site, di legno woodshop supply. Literally translated from Italian, di legno means "of wood". But don't let the name throw you, our site can also be accessed through "www.dlws.com". di legno woodshop supply is a small two man operation located just west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the small borough of McKees Rocks. Dante DiIanni started this business in the fall of 2003. Dante is a self-taught cabinet maker who has operated a small shop for the last ten years. In his quest to acquire new skills, he has attended classes at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking and has received instruction from some of the best woodworkers in North America. As part of his education, Dante quickly learned that quality hand work was essential to doing fine woodworking and that solid, well built hand tools were essential to quality hand work. This knowledge, combined with his belief that people should have the opportunity to explore the wonders of woodworking at a reasonable cost, led him to start di legno woodshop supply. As both a cabinet making shop and store owner, Dante realized after the first year of the store operation that he needed some assistance in order to maintain both businesses. During the second year, he was joined by an old childhood friend, Joe Filipovitz, in the operation of the tool business. Although Joe had very limited skills in woodworking, he did bring some solid business and computer skills to help out in the operation of both businesses. Our mission is to provide woodworkers (whether beginner
or master) with quality products at a fair price, no matter what your budget.
The main goal is help woodworkers get metal to wood, not cater to collectors. To that end, we
will do our best to be a meaningful and useful resource to all woodworkers from
the novice to the experienced. Thank you for checking us out!
