Straight Gouges are the main tool of the wood carver. Michi gouges are available in #3, #5 and #8 sweeps and in sizes from 3/64" to 3/4". #8 Sweep gouges are suitable for fine detail work, while #3 and #5 Sweeps are superb for trimming and taking off that final shaving.
