BAHCO CARD SCRAPER

Many woodworking instructors prefer this BAHCO card scraper (formerly Sandvik). It comes with a hard plastic sleeve to protect the edges during storage. The size is 23/8 x 5 7/8 inches x and has two thicknesses .6mm and .8mm. The metal has a hardness of  Rc 48-52.

The card scraper is typically sharpened with a Nicholson 6" smooth Mill File, then with a stone, and finally burnished.  Several burnishers are available.
