DMT DuoSharp Diamond Whetstones

DMT's new DuoSharp combination diamond stones are a technological break through in construction.  Two steel plates coated with different particle sizes are laminated to a plastic substrate.  The process creates a laminated structure which will maintain a flatness of ±0.001 over the surface of the stone.  They are available in 8" x 2- 5/8" and 10" x 4" sizes and with four combination of particle sizes. 

Diamond, the hardest material known, is the most efficient abrasive for quickly sharpening and honing all edge tools.  DMT's whetstones' unique construction features a perforated steel plate molded onto an milled flat plastic base.  Precision sized micron diamonds are embedded into an electroplated nickel matrix on the perforated steel plate.  The unique pattern of recessed plastic islands in a sea of elevated diamonds speeds sharpening by clearing away the spent metal particles.  DMT diamond whetstones will never hollow or groove making it easy to maintain a constant angle during sharpening and to maintain the original geometry of the tool.
